September 11th Memorial
Thirty-three individuals with ties to Greenwich lost their lives in the horrific terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. As those lost, a group of individuals come forward with the idea of building a memorial in they honor. They hired Aberdeen to build the community support needed for such a large undertaking. Aberdeen also guided them through the regulatory process within the town to find a location and secure all necessary building permits. Aberdeen undertook responsibility to raise the funds necessary to not only build the memorial, but ensure there was a sufficient endowment for future maintenance.
The memorial was dedicated in 2015 and is, today, a place of quiet reflection and beauty in Cos Cob Park overlooking the harbor.
